The WIM algorithm processes is able to manage different kind of signal input in different working conditions concerning the vehicle and the performance of the measurement chain. The approach can manage both the experimental input both the simulated ones, coming from a physical model of vehicle, rail an a global contact model that manages the iteraction between themselves. An exhaustive simulation campaign has been carried out to verify the algorithm accuracy and robustness.

Abstract

The WIM algorithm processes is able to manage different kind of signal input in different working conditions concerning the vehicle and the performance of the measurement chain. The approach can manage both the experimental input both the simulated ones, coming from a physical model of vehicle, rail an a global contact model that manages the iteraction between themselves. An exhaustive simulation campaign has been carried out to verify the algorithm accuracy and robustness.
