This paper presents a database on wave overtopping of rubble-mound harbour breakwaters. The measurements arise from physical model experiments. Several scaled models of rubble-mound harbour breakwaters were tested under different wave conditions. Classical shaped breakwaters, and breakwaters characterized by the inclusion of an overspill basin, located in front of the wave wall, were tested. Some preliminary analysis on mean overtopping discharges are reported.

Abstract

This paper presents a database on wave overtopping of rubble-mound harbour breakwaters. The measurements arise from physical model experiments. Several scaled models of rubble-mound harbour breakwaters were tested under different wave conditions. Classical shaped breakwaters, and breakwaters characterized by the inclusion of an overspill basin, located in front of the wave wall, were tested. Some preliminary analysis on mean overtopping discharges are reported.
