Abstract
The area known as “Querciola”, a small wetland near Pistoia has been interested by a process of heritage making, which is still ongoing, and that – according to my field-research –has started back in 1995. To this small, circumscribed geographical area, which is also rich in biodiversity, so to become a "natural reserve", a group of people – whom I picture as a kind of “heritage community” – is reassigning a new historical and aesthetic value. The ethnographic work I have carried o in the past months has allowed me to observe closely the activities of this group, and the relation between them and the territory they inhabit. What has so far appeared is a tick and complex system of relationships, not only among the people involved, but also with some local institutions: the municipal administration and the “Arci” for example.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
