This study seeks to perform the analysis of a document entitled “Practical Guide of endogenous mechanisms for the prevention, management, resolution of conflicts in West Africa”, through an international research conducted by the creation of a Community of Practice (CoP) online. As such, it reflects the sayings brought in the document as well as its potential for peace building in Africa. In terms of methodology, we are affiliated to the cultural and poststructuralist studies of curriculum, seeking view knowledge and curriculum as discursive tools that build identities of individuals and as collective memories of a particular social group. The results indicate that African sayings can be a fundamental component to think about culture of peace in the curriculum of educational institutions or not, depending on the intent, also acts for valuing the culture and the identity of those involved

Abstract
