La Grande Guerra e la cultura ungherese. Spunti per una “Public Literary History”

L'articolo, aderendo all'idea dello storico Emilio Gentile, secondo cui l'Europa giunge alla prima guerra mondiale con la diffusa percezione della cultura come veicolo di rivoluzione spirituale e quindi forza rigeneratrice (anche) della politica, propone un quadro interpretativo della cultura ungherese nel contesto della Grande Guerra. Procede con l'esemplificazione della funzione della cultura quale artefice dI "nuovo" (del "Moderno"), a partire da alcuni fenomeni che si presentano nel tessuto e nel pensiero sociale complessivo (emozione, visione ‘senza comprensione’, scrittura privata partecipata, memoria ambientale) e passando per le idee e le pratiche dell'intellettualità letteraria che contribuiscono al formarsi delle premesse materiali di una Public Literary History. Categoria, quest'ultima, che l'articolo introduce come nuova prospettiva della ricerca letteraria. PAROLE CHIAVE: cultura letteraria ungherese; Public Literary History; primo Novecento e WWW. It proceeds with the exemplification of the function of culture as a creator of the new (of the Modern), starting from some phenomena that occur in the fabric and in the overall social thought (emotion, vision 'without understanding', participatory private writing, environmental memory) and passing through the ideas and practices of literary intellectuality that contribute to the formation of the material premises of a Public Literary History.
