PROJECT LIFE_GreenPISA2020 constitutes the depth practical experience of project management within the Master’s Degree ABITAmodule “Eco-efficiency of urban settlements and building rehabilitation. Green Business and project management in the Mediterranean area“, lecturer Arch. Antonella Trombadore. It has been a fruitful collaboration with the Municipality of Pisa to meet the need for appropriate and innovative sustainable land policy. Through the integration of GREEN MASTER PLAN STRATEGY with GREEN MANAGEMENT PLAN for the city of Pisa it pursues the aim to solve different problems within wider perspective of the city: the “people mover”; the new yacht port; the sustainable industrial area by the Incile canal; redevelopment of the Cisanello park. The pilot project of the Cisanello urban green area, dynamic system that binds and adds value to other ongoing and realized projects, becomes, with this works, the heart of a new network of green infrastructure, in a new vision of ecosystem interrelations between environmental resources (water - green - landscape) and sustainable aspects, aiming for the environment and for improving economic performance areas. In the pilot project they have been identified seven intervention areas , identifying for each related strategies, to monitor and measure in the evaluation process. The Pilot Project tends to reflect the priority of EU environmental policy, as defined in the sixth action dell’Enviroment Action Programme (6th EAP) adopted in 2002, promoting the continuous improvement of air quality and the mitigation of the effects of climate change.
