Testi e contesti di relazione del design

Ogni azione progettuale produce ambiti di relazione, che il designer deve considerare a monte, per la buona riuscita del prodotto. Tale relazione, fino ad oggi misurata soprattutto sul piano del rapporto oggetto-utente, si arricchisce, nella tesi proposta, di due dimensioni: il rapporto utente-utente e il rapporto oggetto-oggetto. Ciascuno dei profili relazionali detti assume rilevanza progettuale in base ai contesti d’utenza: per fare un esempio, se la chiave inglese si inserisce in un contesto d’uso tecnico (mono-utente) in cui è determinante la dimensione pratica centrata sul rapporto uomo-prodotto e quindi sull’interfaccia formale, il design di una montatura per occhiali incontra una dimensione d’impiego ancora pratica, ma pubblica, in cui prevalgono le relazioni comunicazionali con il pubblico circostante. Every design action creates a series of relational connections, and the designer must envision them for the best final performance of the product. Until today this relationship has been estimated especially from the point of view of the connection between object and user (the typical application field of Interface Design). Thanks to the research thesis, two more relational modes are going to be taken into consideration: the connection between user and user and the connection between object and object. Each of these relational profiles are differently relevant as a function of the context of use: for example, while the wrench is always part of a technical context of use (single-user), where the user-object centred functionality is winning, the design of a spectacle frame is both influenced by the practical function and the public nature, with the supremacy of the communication power.
