This paper is addressed to an audience of professionals, engineers, architects and structural experts, who work in the field of historical and monumental buildings. The safeguard of historic, artistic and monumental heritage, above all archaeological sites and therefore architectural artefacts that are in ruin, is the main subject and the key word on which the scientific research of the authors themselves is laid on. Their intention is, in fact, to provide readers with a tutorial for the analysis of seismic vulnerability of ashlar masonry arches, according to present Italian technical regulations for constructions.
