The paper argues for a "geometric" approach to the semantics of "concrete" atomic sentences in natural and formal languages and the use of category-theoretic tools to represent the meaning of sentences on "abstract" entities as metaphors grounded in the topological meaning of "concrete" sentences. A "geometric" approach is intended as one referring to the primitive experience of space, described in a category of spaces rather than in the category of sets.
