A relatively simple and accurate model of a printed-circuit-board (PCB) circuit producing common-mode (CM) radiated emission from an attached cable is presented. The analytical predictions are confirmed by current, voltage, and radiated-field measurements. Simplified analytical expressions useful for interpretation, prediction, design and corrective measures are given. The results compare favorably with existing published results.
