The aim of the paper is the analysis of the technical efficiency focused on the health care system. More precisely, we consider the data of 21 operative units within a University hospital for only one period and we perform a comparison of two types of Frontier models: DEA and SFR. The data-set is a common set of output, input and cost indicators that is constructed to support our analysis. Comparable DEA and SFR models are specified and compared on the basis of efficiency scores and correlations coefficients, even though the results are not completely satisfactory.
