The evaluation of conservation status concerning two biotopes of naturalistic relevance in the Braulio Upper Valley (Stelvio National Park, Lombardy, Italy). - In the years 1997-2000 some phytosociological researches concerning mires dominated by Carex nigra and grasslands dominated by Nardus stricta have been carried on in the Braulio Upper Valley (Stelvio National Park). Floristic compositions showed a few variations when compared with data collected in the same coenoses in 1953. In the mires a larger number of species was found, due especially to an increase in grassland and rich-nutrient soil plants. With regard to the floristic composition and the cover value of species in the community, the Nardus stricta grasslands were found more similar to the present Festuca halleri coenoses, with a decrease in the number of plants of conservation interest. The corresponding phytosociological associations (Geo montani-Nardetum and Festucetum halleri) were better distinct in the past.

Abstract
The corresponding phytosociological associations (Geo montani-Nardetum and Festucetum halleri) were better distinct in the past.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
