La valutazione della qualità degli aspetti floristico-vegetazionali negli Studi di Impatto Ambientale: una metodologia semplificata

The evaluation of floristic and vegetation aspects in Environmental Impact Studies: a simplified methodology. - A proposal of a methodology assessing the floristic and vegetation quality of land units in environmental impact studies. On the basis of the literature and personal experience, six parameters are chosen and illustrated: 1) the wideness of land unit area; 2) the floristic rarity; 3) the species richness; 4) the vegetation-type rarity; 5) the dynamic level of vegetation types; 6) the cultural and aesthetic value. These parameters can assess the land unit’s natural quality when time and financial resources can allow only the realization of a phytosociological vegetation map and the study of the flora collected during field investigations of a single vegetation season. Advantages and limits of this approach are discussed.
