With the leit-motif provided by the description of magnetic susceptibility, its tensorial character, and its many consequences on NMR parameters, an account is provided of the use of paramagnetic constraints for structure determination of metalloproteins. New perspectives are opening thanks to the availability of these paramagnetism-based constraints. Indeed, they are potentially capable of providing a wealth of information on the protein structure, in some cases sufficient to obtain the fold of the protein in the absence of further classical constraints.

Abstract
With the leit-motif provided by the description of magnetic susceptibility, its tensorial character, and its many consequences on NMR parameters, an account is provided of the use of paramagnetic constraints for structure determination of metalloproteins. New perspectives are opening thanks to the availability of these paramagnetism-based constraints. Indeed, they are potentially capable of providing a wealth of information on the protein structure, in some cases sufficient to obtain the fold of the protein in the absence of further classical constraints.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
