The paper presents a case study of CPT-based liquefaction assessment and mapping, carried out in an area of the North Eastern Italian coast. More than 1000 CPT profiles were collected, digitised and used to evaluate liquefaction hazard by means of Robertson and Wride simplified method. The mapping was based on the use of the Iwasaki potential liquefaction index. The criteria adopted and the results of CPT-based liquefaction hazard zonation are presented and discussed.
