Abstract: The results of an analytical survey of the flora of Monte Beni and Sasso di Castro, two ultramafic mountains in Northern Tuscany, are reported. The survey resulted in 468 spontaneous recorded taxa, belonging to 69 families and 253 genus. The biological spectrum highlights the expected mountain connotation, being the hemicriptophytes the most frequent growth forms. The chorological spectrum is dominated by European and Eurasiatic chorotypes, the Endemic species (3.4%) belong mainly to the Apennines and the Italian Peninsula components, while the typical endemic plants of Tuscan “serpentines” are lacking. Nevertheless, the high conservation interest of the flora of this area is confirmed.
