This short paper discusses how cultural and heritage works of art can be restored with the latest nanoparticle technology after degradation over time as well as damage by unnatural causes, such as flood and fire. Because of the importance of these works of art, this paper also discusses the potential of multimedia digital libraries for building, organizing, and distributing the information related to the conservation and restoration of these objects as well as the description and annotation of these works.
