This paper discusses the results of an experimental analysis performed on brick samples reinforced by CFRP strip with difference dimension, subjected to bond test (shear test). This study is carried out in order to investigate the bond strength between brick and CFRP strip. In all specimens, electrical resistance strain gauges were bonded to the sheet in a longitudinal direction in order to evaluate the strain distribution of the reinforcement and to determine the bond shear stress and the bond shear stress – slip relationship.

Abstract

This paper discusses the results of an experimental analysis performed on brick samples reinforced by CFRP strip with difference dimension, subjected to bond test (shear test). This study is carried out in order to investigate the bond strength between brick and CFRP strip. In all specimens, electrical resistance strain gauges were bonded to the sheet in a longitudinal direction in order to evaluate the strain distribution of the reinforcement and to determine the bond shear stress and the bond shear stress – slip relationship.
