This chapter deals with multi-attribute valuation methods; in particular, choice experiments and conjoint analysis. A recent and updated review is reported, by considering last developments on experimental designs and statistical models. Multinomial dicrete choice models and latent class models are compared. An empirical example is reported, where response surface methodology is applied in order to improve the analysis of a conjoint study jointly with the heterogeneity of the respondent.

Abstract
This chapter deals with multi-attribute valuation methods; in particular, choice experiments and conjoint analysis. A recent and updated review is reported, by considering last developments on experimental designs and statistical models. Multinomial dicrete choice models and latent class models are compared.
