A short tutorial is provided for the magnetic properties to be expected in large molecular clusters. The results reached so far in the understanding this new class of materials are exemplified with manganese and iron compounds. The central role of magnetic anisotropy in determining the superparamagnetic-like behavior of these materials is stressed.
