Per una conservazione innovativa dei paesaggi rurali tradizionali

Partendo dall’armonia e funzionalità dei paesaggi tradizionali, dove “ogni cosa era al posto giusto”, il focus è sulle trasformazioni dirompenti in atto, con la cancellazione di identità paesistiche storicamente consolidate e la frantumazione di una risorsa unica del nostro Paese, nel momento in cui essa potrebbe svolgere un ruolo essenziale nelle nuove dinamiche di sviluppo, inteso come sviluppo sostenibile. Beginning from the observation that the traditional rural landscapes are sustainable, because of the proper relationship between man and nature, the A. emphasizes the process of construction in the course of time and the late destructive changes. The A. goes on to observe that in Italy the conservation of the landscape is not in the least realized through an organic blueprint of sustainable development of the territory and through a correct relationship between the change reasons and the preservation of the peculiarity of the places. On the basis of the European Landscape Convention, that ascribes to landscape the value of a fundamental component of living conditions, this article underlines that the goals of the traditional rural landscapes high-quality must be clearly advanced, combining wisely preservation and change, with special attention to the Statute of territory, namely the survey of territorial resources and the rules that should be observed to ensure the reproducibility of the heritage from time to time. Through a solid program aiming at improving landscapes that were modelled by a century-old process of a well-balanced exploitation, it’s a question of studying new uses of rural land, bound to clever projects that require to include the landscape and environment quality in the product, by means of traditional cultivations and good practices.
