Floro-faunistic studies in wetlands of the “Casentine Forests, Mount Falterona and Campigna National Park” (Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna) (Spermatophyta, Macroinvertebrata, Cordata Amphibia e Reptilia). A two-year study on 8 sample-stations of running and lake waters has been performed in the “Casentine Forests, Mount Falterona and Campigna National Park” (Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, Italy). As regards running water, two stations were chosen on the Tyrrhenian and two on the Adriatic slopes. Four stations were selected for sampling lake water, all of which are situated on the Tyrrhenian side. Samples were collected from each of the 8 stations once a month over two years, from April to September. The Coleoptera and various plant species were collected for each study area as well as the Macroinvertebrata from the running waters. Photographs were taken of Amphibians and Reptiles. Among the Macroinvertebrata, only the Coleoptera were identified to species level, the other groups (Annelida, Arthropoda, Mollusca) being classified to the level of genus or family. The majority of plant specimens were classified to species level and only in rare cases to genus level. Meteorological and chemical parameters of the environment and waters for each station were recorded on each sample date. Lists of Flora and Coleoptera observed are given for all stations. The list of Coleoptera, subdivided into families and with the geographical distribution given for each species, is presented in summary form in a table. The Macroinvertebrata data are also presented in a single table. The most interesting species of Coleoptera are discussed. Sørensen’s index was used for the 8 stations in the Park, to determine the similarity index for the stations of running and lake waters. In general, the index values are rather low for each group of stations. Finally, a geographical analysis was performed on the Coleopteran fauna. On the whole, a strong European component is present (49%), followed by the Palaearctic component (17,5%). The Palearctic component prevails only in the superfamily Hydradephaga.
