The main contribution of this paper is to present some preliminary results of the application of the videoconference-based advanced learning methods and techniques. We firstly address the basic system objectives, methodology and architecture of an IP based videoconferencing educational system. Then, we provide an example (a case study) as a prototype built around this system architecture connecting QoS control with QoE. The evaluation study performed on this prototype showed that the videoconferencing platform satisfies educational requirements and good Quality of Learning (QoL). It presents a successful tool for expanding the possibilities for collaborative learning while providing time and cost savings.
