The magnetic properties of the compound (CuSALtn)2Gd(H2O)(NO3)3⋯2EtNO2 which contains GdCu2 clusters have been studied in the range 4.2–300 K. The lanthanide and transition metal ions have been found to be coupled ferromagnetically, J = -1.221(2), in agreement with previous results of our laboratory.

Abstract
