The MCD spectra of Co, Ni (Me6Tren)Br2 taken at low temperatures show effects attributed to Jahn-Teller interactions. The effect is most pronounced in the Ni complex which is expected to have a non-degenerate ground state yet shows saturation behaviour attributable to ag = 2 doublet.
