Objective. The objective is to evaluate the therapeutic effects of perineum rehabilitation with endorectal probe in patients with prostatitis and sovrapubic, perineal or scrotal pain. Materials and methods. We evaluated 10 patients between 23 and 56 years of age with prostatitis. Four of these patients had positive sperm cultures, 2 had positive EPS and 1 had positive urine culture for common bacteria. Three patients had negative cultures. All patients suffered from recurrent perineal, scrotal or sovrapubic discomfort, although they were treated with antimicrobical agents. All patients were treated with 15 sessions of rehabilitative therapy, 3 sessions per week. Results. Seven patients reported complete disappearance of pain; 3 patients with clinical improvement underwent a new cycle of rehabilitative therapy with complete resolution of pain. Conclusions. The rehabilitative therapy was helpful in patients with prostatitis and perineal and scrotal pain.
