Color Doppler Echocardiography and Equilibrium Angiocardioscintigraphy are two non invasive techniques easy to perform at a relative low cost, able to give an accurate evaluation of left ventricular performance after aneurysmectomy. Twenty patients, subjected to left ventricular aneurysmectomy and myocardial revascularization, have been evaluated post-operatively with the two methods to compare their reliability and accuracy. Our results show that Equilibrium Angiocardioscintigraphy is superior because of a low intrinsic, intra and inter observer variability and because it is unaffected by chest morphology, while Color Doppler Echocardiography has lower costs and easier reproducibility.

Abstract
Color Doppler Echocardiography and Equilibrium Angiocardioscintigraphy are two non invasive techniques easy to perform at a relative low cost, able to give an accurate evaluation of left ventricular performance after aneurysmectomy. Twenty patients, subjected to left ventricular aneurysmectomy and myocardial revascularization, have been evaluated post-operatively with the two methods to compare their reliability and accuracy. Our results show that Equilibrium Angiocardioscintigraphy is superior because of a low intrinsic, intra and inter observer variability and because it is unaffected by chest morphology, while Color Doppler Echocardiography has lower costs and easier reproducibility.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
