Compact horns with highly stable phase center reduces efficiency dropping for defocusing at the frequency band extremes. Conventionally these horns are designed with a square sinus plus exponential profile. In this contribution an extremely flexible mathematical profile, based on Non Uniform Rational B-Splines is used within an automatic design Genetic Algorithm procedure to achieve better performances.

Abstract
