Il presente lavoro di ricerca si inserisce all'interno del dibattito sulla nuova domanda abitativa, identificando, alla luce della recente crisi e di una diffusa tendenza alla mobilità degli individui, un bisogno sempre più consistente di alloggi velocemente disponibili e fruibili per brevi periodi (short stay). Questo bisogno, di tipo soprattutto ‘sociale’, è espresso da parte di categorie d’utenza molto eterogenee e non sembra trovare ad oggi adeguata risposta in termini di offerta abitativa. Partendo dal rilevamento di alcune esperienze di Housing Sociale in Italia che cercano di risolvere questo problema, la ricerca si propone di individuare requisiti e modelli organizzativi della Residenza collettiva ad uso temporaneo, attraverso l’analisi di forme di residenzialità temporanea oggi esistenti. La proposta è uno strumento guida al progettista di Housing Sociale, che riunisce e traspone le esigenze dell’utenza temporanea e degli operatori coinvolti, aprendo nuovi scenari sul possibile ruolo di una tipologia a metà strada tra la residenza e la struttura ricettiva. This research work is part of the debate on the new housing demand and identifies an ever-increasing need of quickly available short stay accommodations, due to the recent economic crisis and to a widespread tendency to individuals’ mobility. This need, which is especially a social one, is expressed by very heterogeneous categories of end users, and nowadays it does not seem to be satisfied in terms of housing quality and supply. Starting from some experimental projects of the new Italian Social Housing model that try to find an answer to these heterogeneous needs of temporary accommodations, the research aims to identify requirements and organizational models of the Collective housing for temporary use, through the analysis of the current existing architectural typologies of temporary living. The proposal is a tool guide for the designer of Social Housing. The tool meets the needs of the temporary end users and of the involved operators, opening new scenarios on the possible role of a building type that could be midway between the residence and touristic accommodations.
