An overview of FACTOR project are presented in this paper; the main objective is to optimize the combustor-HPT interaction design by designing a fill annular test rig. The experimental test infrastructure, made up of a combustor simulator and a 1.5 HP turbine stage, will be set up and most advanced measurement techniques (aerodynamic and aero-thermal) will be adapted and combined to obtain an all encompassing experimental database.
