A mechanical joint was designed and realized for repairing the tie-beam element of a truss. A scaled model 1:2 has been prepared to check through laboratory mechanical tests, the behaviour of the joint in the different connection means such as mechanical joining with or without bolt, in relation to the glued union between prothesis and tie-beam. The results of the test showed a very good behaviour with a high strength, also in absence of the contribute of the epoxy resin.
