Our srudy showed that the anterior tibial cortex is an easily identifìable and reliable landmark for correct rotarional alignment of the tibial component when compared with Akagi's line and the mediai third of the tibial tubercle, In facr, tibial component alignment along the anterior cortex guaranteed full matching ± 3° with the TEA in 75% of the cases, with minor errors in external rotation.
