The present PhD Thesis addresses the subject of steam turbine design and analysis.The focus of the present thesis is the review of the steam turbines design process carried out in Nuovo Pignone-GE Oil&Gas. This process is based on a one-dimensional design tool. The object of the present research is hence the review of the design procedure of the 50% reaction stages, seeking higher efficiencies.
