Il catalogo d’autore di una biblioteca d’autore: la biblioteca di Indro Montanelli / Mauro Guerrini.

Faderica Depaolis presents a catalog sui generis, original and inspiring in its unusual plant bibliographic: she selects among the books belonging to Indro Montanelli – left to the Foundation Montanelli Bassi – those considered most important on the basis of a manifest interest shown by the possessor: books that the famous journalist (Fucecchio, Florence, Italy, April 22, 1909 - Milan, Italy, 22 July 2001), has reviewed, quoted, mentioned in his articles, books and interviews. More than an “author library” can, therefore, speak of a “author catalog”, a catalog consisting of the selection of the works which Indro was most fond. Montanelli gave or threw anything that does not interest him. What happened to the books that have been "undone"? How is it that the library is so limited number of works? Why did not care constitute a library, but admired those of others? The answer to this question would be important to understand the relationship of Montanelli with books and, especially, with their authors. Faderica Depaolis presenta un catalogo sui generis, originale e stimolante nel suo insolito impianto bibliografico: pilucca tra i libri appartenuti a Indro Montanelli – lasciati in dono alla Fondazione Montanelli Bassi – quelli ritenuti più importanti in base a un interesse manifesto dimostrato dal possessore: libri che il famoso giornalista (Fucecchio, 22 aprile 1909 – Milano, 22 luglio 2001), ha recensito, citato, ricordato in suoi articoli, libri e interviste. Più che a una biblioteca d’autore si può, pertanto, parlare di un catalogo di autore, di un catalogo costituito dalla selezione delle opere a cui Indro era maggiormente affezionato. Montanelli regalava o gettava tutto ciò che non gli interessava. Che fine hanno fatto i libri di cui si è “disfatto”? Come mai la biblioteca è così limitata per numero di opere? Perché non gli interessava costituire una biblioteca, ma ammirava quelle altrui? La risposta a questa domanda sarebbe importante per capire il rapporto di Montanelli con i libri e, soprattutto, con i loro autori.
