Abstract

The analysis tools that use proximity sensors constantly improve in features and performance and now they are more affordable for new applications in many different ways. The current work concerns about the surveys methods implemented to collect 3d mesh data for the development of an holographic radar robotic platform designed for sub-surface investigations. This hardware-software project is carried out by the Dipartimento Ingegneria dell’ Informazione and the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile Ambientale (GeCo Lab., directed by prof. G. Tucci). We are now studying different approaches for acquiring multi-scale high-definition digital elevation models useful in demining operations, which involve necessarily only non-invasive techniques.
