Convivere o sposarsi?

Che vi sia in Italia una rivoluzione dei tempi e dei modi fare famiglia è dimostrato da molti dati ormai noti. Essi, però, ci aiutano solo in parte a comprendere perché gli italiani scelgono di convivere o di sposarsi. Quali sono le ragioni che spingono al matrimonio o alla convivenza? Quali i vantaggi e gli svantaggi dei due tipi di unione? In che modo sono percepite le convivenze in un contesto come quello dell'Italia contemporanea, in cui la legislazione non riconosce diritti e doveri alle coppie di fatto? Per risponde a questi e a altri interrogativi, gli autori cedono la parola ai protagonisti, uomini e donne che discutono assieme di questi argomenti durante alcuni incontri (focus groups), con l'aiuto di un moderatore e di una traccia comune, affrontando in particolare le motivazioni alla base delle loro scelte. However, they help us to understand only in part because Italians are choosing to cohabit or to get married. What are the reasons that lead to marriage or cohabitation? What are the advantages and disadvantages of the two types of union? In which way cohabitation is perceived in a context such as that of contemporary Italy, where the legislation does not recognize the rights and duties to unmarried couples? For answering to these and other questions, the authors let speak the participants to some focus groups, men and women who discuss these issues during some meetings (focus groups), with the help of a moderator and a common track, addressing in particular the reasons for their choices.
