The first section of the article offers a complete overview of the linguistic geography of the Hindu Kush/Karakorum chain, stretching from eastern Afghanistan to Kashmir across the Northern Areas of Pakistan. The second section is dedicated to a linguistic description of the language of the Kalasha of Chitral, the last polytheists of the Hindu Kush. La prima parte dell'articolo traccia un quadro generale della geografia linguistica della catena del Hindu Kush/Karakorum, che si estende dall'Afghanistan orientale al Kashmir indiano attraverso il Pakistan settentrionale.
