The paper aims to examine the potential, nowadays little explored, for the application of sustainability certification to cases of renovation of buildings with historical value. In particular, in this context, so little examined but instead very useful and current, the essay suggests some useful tools for quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the sustainability of structural works, trying to combine the sustainability culture with the renovation one.
