This paper presents the novel implementation of a general purpose Method of Moments (MoM), specialized in the treatment of finite planar arrays. The proposed implementation is fast and accurate, and exploits open source libraries and tools. It is capable of analyzing isolated structures, infinite arrays via periodic boundary conditions and finite arrays. In a subsequent phase the solution of the finite array problem is going to be accelerated via the exploitation of Characteristics/Macro Basis Functions deriving from the Array Scanning Method.

Abstract
