The authors employed data concerning 45 characters selected among those of the O.I.V. card, and gathered from a collection of 31 varieties to experiment the application of different scales of expression and evaluate characters in order to solve testing problems. The subsequent multivariate analysis lead to the Identification of groups of characters according to the contribution of the overall variability.
