The Sicily Channel has been operating the VEGA-A offshore platform since 1988. The platform is equipped with a monitoring system both environmental and structural. This paper involves the collection and statistical interpretation of structural response data recorded. The acquired data are processed on the platform in order to establish their representativeness in relation to the structural control of the platform. The results of data processing, provided by the monitoring system, will be used for the spectral analysis and dynamic identifications, in particular, will be obtained the frequencies of oscillation in order to find a variation of them during the life of the platform. The variation of forms and periods of oscillation own may be related to damage to the structure or a variation of loads. Moreover, a dynamic identification will be performed for both important storms and for smaller events, the aim of detecting a non-linear behavior of the structure essentially linked to the foundation. Finally, the job includes a statistical analysis of the accelerometer signals in order to identify the warning thresholds and alarm. These results are then compared with data from the project in accordance with the storms that have affected the structural system.
