La parola esplosa di Clemente Rebora

Clemente Rebora passa in trincea solo poco più di un mese, alla fine del 1915, ma rischia davvero di impazzire. Il libro di prose e poesie che progetta e a cui lavora con fervore fra i ripetuti ricoveri in ospedale e in manicomio non è mai uscito, ma le parti che ci sono rimaste sono fra le più straordinarie e terribili testimonianze di quel trauma europeo. Come il mondo intorno anche la parola esplode, e il solo suono sembra il filo a cui tenersi per non sprofondare. Testi a lungo trascurati ma sorprendenti e unici nella letteratura italiana di quegli anni. Clemente Rebora didn’t spend in trench much more than a month, at the end of 1915, but he actually risked going mad. The book of poems and proses he planned and began to write while he was a patient in hospitals and madhouses was never finished, but the texts that we can read are among the most extraordinary and horrible evidences of that european trauma. The words, just like the world around, blow up, and the sound seems to be the only aid that can prevent form sinking. These texts have been neglected for a long time, but they appear now striking and exceptional.
