Thrombin generation was investigated in 292 acute coronary syndrome patients undergone percutaneous coronary intervention with stent implantation. Those patients with a residual thrombin generation have a significantly higher risk of long-term cardiovascular death. This data might be useful in improving risk stratification for acute coronary syndrome patients and support the need of a tailored antithrombotic therapy.

Abstract
Thrombin generation was investigated in 292 acute coronary syndrome patients undergone percutaneous coronary intervention with stent implantation. Those patients with a residual thrombin generation have a significantly higher risk of long-term cardiovascular death. This data might be useful in improving risk stratification for acute coronary syndrome patients and support the need of a tailored antithrombotic therapy.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
