A new fragment of the Severan marble plan of Rome came to light during renovation work in a building of the Holy See. The fragment joins with fragment FUR 31ii, completes the caption Circus Flaminius and shows – among other new elements – a short section of the perimeter of the Marcellus Theatre. The new discovery allows a number of little corrections to the topography of the plate 31 of the FUR and to place more accurately the group of fragments of the Marcellus Theatre. As conclusion some considerations are discussed concerning the path of the Triumph across the Theatre.

Abstract
A new fragment of the Severan marble plan of Rome came to light during renovation work in a building of the Holy See. The fragment joins with fragment FUR 31ii, completes the caption Circus Flaminius and shows – among other new elements – a short section of the perimeter of the Marcellus Theatre. The new discovery allows a number of little corrections to the topography of the plate 31 of the FUR and to place more accurately the group of fragments of the Marcellus Theatre. As conclusion some considerations are discussed concerning the path of the Triumph across the Theatre.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
