L'insediamento etrusco di San Martino al Poggio (Dicomano, FI): alcune considerazioni sull'edificio tripartito

The new archaeological excavations carried on at the great monument of San Martino a Poggio in Mugello (Dicomano, FI) have removed the fills of the three « rooms » bringing to light the remains of more ancient structures. Nevertheless, the new investigations did not explain the nature of the building and its original appearance, long time considered as Etruscan fortress of Hellenistic period (third century B.C.). The analysis of the construction and some considerations on the building’s stratigraphy want to be an additional contribution to a new reading of the monument.
