This paper presents the interim results of a research attempting to identify key concepts, constructs and variables studied in empirical research on servitization, industrial services, including the research streams on integrated solution offerings and product service systems. Specifically, it presents the results of a systematic review of the servitization-related literature, aiming at identifying the constructs used to represent (a) antecedents of servitization, (b) intensity of servitization, and (c) consequences of servitization, and at investigating how these constructs are operationalized and linked each other’s. This study is based on an in depth analysis of 65 manuscripts.

Abstract

This paper presents the interim results of a research attempting to identify key concepts, constructs and variables studied in empirical research on servitization, industrial services, including the research streams on integrated solution offerings and product service systems. Specifically, it presents the results of a systematic review of the servitization-related literature, aiming at identifying the constructs used to represent (a) antecedents of servitization, (b) intensity of servitization, and (c) consequences of servitization, and at investigating how these constructs are operationalized and linked each other’s. This study is based on an in depth analysis of 65 manuscripts.
