The article accounts for an ongoing process promoting by Tuscany Region for the establishment of an periurban agricultrual park in the Florence metropolitan area. The proces is reviewed in its critical points, especially in its crossing with bottom up processes and initiatives carried on by citizens and associations that ask for more integration and coeherence between public sectoral policies and farmland protection.
