To perform climatic analysis, climatic data must be as homogeneous as possible, not affected by non-climatic factors that make data unrepresentative of climate variations during the relevant time period. The aim of this study is to homogenise temperature time series of the Tuscany region (Italy) and to analyse their past and present climatic trends and variability. Such analysis has been performed through the study of numerous climatic and agroclimatic indices. Subsequently, considerations about the impacts of climatic trends and variability on growth and reproduction of grapevine and olive trees have been made.

Abstract
To perform climatic analysis, climatic data must be as homogeneous as possible, not affected by non-climatic factors that make data unrepresentative of climate variations during the relevant time period. The aim of this study is to homogenise temperature time series of the Tuscany region (Italy) and to analyse their past and present climatic trends and variability. Such analysis has been performed through the study of numerous climatic and agroclimatic indices. Subsequently, considerations about the impacts of climatic trends and variability on growth and reproduction of grapevine and olive trees have been made.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
