IMPORTANCE OF USER-CENTERED DESIGN: "iTunesU Siena" EXPERIENCE .

In the present article, a further testimony in favor of the use of the methodology User-Centered Design in the design of computer systems is added. The experience of this paper is based on three experiments carried out before placing on-line platform "iTunesU Siena" (analysis and design of an initial prototype development, evaluation of the prototype, the redesign of the platform, a second prototype implementation, new evaluation, platform release). Adopt the UCD and add it within the design processes requires, for a company, both a change of mentality and a change in procedures. Thanks to User-Centred Design can "evolve", questioning their rigidity and become more flexible companies.
