Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) oil industry is a larger oil producing industry in the world. Oil industry in GCC utilize industrial control systems, so there is chance of cyberattacks to these industries. This research paper aims to analyze the security breaches in industrial controls, specifically in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Further it analyzes that what solutions have been proposed for enhancing cyber security issues in relation to industrial controls, specifically SCADA. Finally the paper propose a set of guidelines for improving security of oil companies in GCC countries which need to be considered when developing/modifying their industrial control systems, specifically SCADA.

Abstract
